First snow

After a long, beautiful fall season, it’s finally starting to look like winter. We got our first snowfall today. Two to four inches.

And this place has officially gone nuts. Schools have been closed since yesterday, and they will probably remain closed for the next week. Before the first snowflake is able to hit the ground, a dozen cars will have found themselves in ditches. I’m not sure how this happens, but it happens every year.

But if you look past all of the crazy Southern Marylanders, there’s beauty.

And no, the above picture is not my idea of beauty. But it was the only thing I could take a picture of without leaving my front doorstep.

For those traveling over the holidays, please use caution. Avoid ditches when possible.
